Materials

Three Ring Binder w/ Two Dividers:
This binder will be used as your notebook for the semester. It will be checked twice for an exam grade. The notebook will be divided into three sections; Notes, Classwork/Homework, and Exam/Quizzes.

Pencil and Paper:
All work for this course should be done neatly in pencil. The paper should be lined college ruled loose leaf paper.

Grading

Exams 40%
Quizzes 30%
Labs 20%
Classwork/Homework 10%

Exams and Quizzes:
The exams in this class are going to be given at the end of each unit and will be cumulative. The quizzes will be given mid-way through each unit. When each exam and quiz is graded and returned, it is your responsibility to put them in your binder.

Labs:
The labs in this class will help enhance your knowledge of the current unit. When labs have been collected and graded, they will be kept in a file cabinet behind my desk.

Classwork/Homework:
Classwork/Homework will be given on a random basis. I am going to try not to give homework, but sometimes it is necessary.

Attendance

Attendance is mandatory. If you miss more than eight classes, you will NOT receive credit for the course.

Tardiness is not allowed. For every three times you are tardy, it will become equal to an absence, and warrants contact to your parent or guardian.

When you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up notes, homework, classwork, labs, exams and quizzes. You will be given five school days from the day you return to do so. Any missing work will be recorded as a zero until made up.

Extra help is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Any other time, by appointment only.
