NOTICE: The regular March meeting of the Greenbrier School Board is scheduled for Thursday, March 8 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Greenbrier Administration Building.
Kindergarten registration for the 2007-2008 school year is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13 from 3:33-7:30 at both Eastside and Westside Elementary Schools. Parents are strongly encouraged to register their children on March 13 or as soon as possible after this date.

CHECK OUT THE NEW DISTRICT WEB PAGE! Go to http://gps.k12.ar.us to see the new District's web page. One new feature is a district-wide "calendar of events." This new feature shows upcoming meetings, events, etc. for all of the District schools.
When it becomes necessary to dismiss school due to inclement weather, the following T.V. and radio stations will be notified.
T. V. Stations -- Channels 4 (KARK), 7 (KATV), 11 (KTHV), and 16 (FOX).
Radio Stations -- 92.7 FM, 94.9 FM, 95.7 FM, 100.3 (Q100), 105.0 (Magic 105), 106.7 (K-Duck), and Y107 (My Country).
Greenbrier Schools missed school on Thursday, February 1st due to snow. This day will be added to end of the school year making the last day of school Tuesday, May 29.
Congratulations to Mr. Darrin Gainer, Science instructor at Greenbrier High School, for being named 2006 Teacher of the Year for the Greenbrier School District! Mr. Gainer's name will be submitted for consideration as the Arkansas Teacher of the Year.
NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PLANNED AT WOOSTER! With a contract to purchase land signed and recent approval for the Arkansas Department of Education for funding assistance, the District's third elementary school will soon be under construction. This new facility, to be located just north of the four-way stop at Wooster will be designed and built to house 450-500 elementary-age students. The design phase is underway and the new school will be finished for students starting the 2008-2009 school year.

ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT: The Greenbrier School District maintains an up-to-date asbestos managment plan on file in the District's maintenance department office. It is available for public review. Several older school buildings do contain asbestos. However, it is non-friable and poses no danger to students or staff. District facilities are inspected every three years and the management plan is updated as needed. Questions concerning the asbestos management plan are to be directed to Todd Havens, the District's Asbestos Coordinator at 679-1006.

Here you will find links to recent important announcements and other school-related information.
