Let me begin by thanking everyone for the yummy candy, and beautiful flowers and plants I received for valentines day. It is hard to believe we are soon starting the last trimester of first grade.
We are entering the season of Lent. Last week I sent home purple strips for the children to record their acts of fasting, praying or almsgiving. These links will help the children demonstrate their commitment to expressing his/her love for God, by loving and caring for others. Please send the links in as your child completes his/her commitment during lent each day.
Continue practicing the addition facts. Our next chapter in math is addition and subtraction to 20. Thank you to all the parents who hosted our valentines party, and the parents who supported our Mardi Gras celebration last week.
Have a great week, and thanks for all you do!!
Mrs. Cathy Genders
