Welcome to History 7a, History 7, Lit & Lang 6, Introductory Spanish, and Spanish 1. Please make sure you find the correct class heading and announcement.

History 7 and 7A:

We just finished a thrilling unit on the Middle Ages of Europe. The kids were so into it all! The month of March will be dedicated to the Renaissance of Europe.

****History 7A: You will be studying and researching a Renaissance artist/scientist/etc. over the course of this month. You will do all of this research on your own on the computer. Make sure that the websites you use are reputable...like from a University. You have the assignment sheet that describes the assignment details and expectations.

_________There is history homework every night!_________

Lit 6 and Lang 6:
This class has grown up so much and they are so much fun to teach! They all did an excellent job and worked hard on improving upon their compare and contrast essays. We will be working on research papers in the month of March. They have the assignment requirement packet that explains how to do the notecards, includes the outline for the rough draft, and explains the HERO thesis of this biographical research paper.

USUAL REMINDERS: We have reading and spelling homework every night Monday-Thursday. Please check your student's planner that is filled out for the week on Mondays.

-->Please look over the pink Friday 'weekly assessments' to get an idea of what your child is studying and how well he/she is performing.

Introductory Spanish:

There is no homework in this class as it is an elective course. We study a different theme unit each week. We will study colors, greetings, body, animals, house words, food, family, sports, the verbs to be, to have, to like,  and Spanish-speaking countries, family, town/places, etc.

Spanish 1:

The kids are doing so well! We are moving along nicely by creating that vocabulary and grammar foundation of Spanish. I will be speaking more and more in Spanish and oral presentations are becoming a weekly form of assessment.
Every Friday the kids have a quick assessment of that week's concepts. They should be doing a little studying every Thursday night. They should study off of their homework sheet where they have done their Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday homework.

Gracias,
Senora Wagner
